Are you looking for some summer fun? Come experience the new Aqua Challenge obstacle course at the Broward College Tigertail Lake Recreational Center, in Dania Beach. This new water course is the first in South Florida, launching at the perfect time for those looking to cool off during summer break. 

Drone view of aquaglide at TigertailThe Aqua Challenge obstacle course, at 8,000 square-foot, includes a climbing wall, trampoline, jungle gym, gigantic bouncing dome, and endless hours of fun! Each feature allows you to test your endurance, strength, balance, and concentration. The 17-foot wide water bouncer is designed for superior performance springing you high into the air. Added to the that is the by freefall slide which offers a spectacular drop into the lake; the 12-foot wide Universal Thunderdome connects the Runway and Swimstep of the course; a 25-foot impressive bouncing dome allows you to climb, jump, or splash; and the Ultimate Catapult, a 16-foot swing, launches you into the cool, refreshing water.

Drone view of Ropes Course at TigertailThe water obstacle course is just the latest addition to Tigertail Lake Center. Tigertail offers many services and its facilities can be rented out for corporate or school special events.

Tigertail is an all-encompassing complex that features scuba diving and lifeguarding courses, water sports (kayak, canoe, paddleboard) rentals, rope courses, teambuilding opportunities, conference room rentals, and other outdoor activities that include adventure trips.

Additionally, during the summer, Tigertail offers watersport classes for kids and teens on Fridays starting June 22 through August 3. Check out this brochure for more details on the summer program.

Certifications at Tigertail

Besides being a hub of entertainment and outdoor adventure, Tigertail offers certification and training courses for open water SCUBA diving, First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding.

Students giving CPR to mannequinThe SCUBA diving instructors and courses are PADI certified, which recognizes that these courses meet the safety standards of the sport. After completing the course, students will become PADI certified divers. The Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED courses are all certified by the American Red Cross. They are available as blended, e-learning and instructor-led and students have scheduling flexibility.


Cost for activities start at just $20 per hour and varies according to the activity, length of time and number of participants. Broward College students with a valid student ID enter for free.
