Retold: Drawing, Memory, and Narrative
3501 Davie Rd
Davie, FL 33314
Broward College first art exhibition of the season is Retold: Drawing, Memory, and Narrative, featuring the expressive drawings of Christopher Troutman. These large charcoal and ink works depict daily visual experiences in contemporary urban settings, inspired by his background living in both the US and Japan. Although his dynamic perspectives and narrative panels call to mind the fantastical elements of graphic novels, the subject matter reminds us that our everyday lives are worth exploration.
Please join us for the opening reception on August 30 from 6 – 9 p.m. and artist lecture at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with refreshments being served.
