Description: Although the citizenship question will not be asked and it has eased the threat, many feel it has hardly eliminated it. The public controversy over the issue has already stirred fears of retribution among many immigrants, even those who are here legally, who say they will avoid filling out the census form even if the question is not asked. If there is a lack of participation, what are the ramifications as the count would become less accurate, and would have the effect of diverting federal money and political power away from states and cities where larger numbers of noncitizens tend to live, and into the hands of rural areas. So join us as we debate if the count should be inclusive or restrictive.
