Affordable Bachelor Degrees are Within Reach

Did you know that the average college graduate in  Florida owes $21,184 in student loans? That’s a lot of debt for someone who is just starting their career.

In a continuous effort to provide affordable, high-quality education Broward College has accepted Governor Rick Scott’s “$10,000 Degree Challenge” and now offers four $10,000 ($10K) baccalaureate degree options in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

These programs focus on STEM degrees that are high wage, high skill and in high demand both locally and nationally. The $10K degrees include bachelor’s degrees in the following:

  • Teacher Education Mathematics (B.S.)
  • Teacher Education Science (B.S.)
  • Information Technology (BAS)
  • Global Trade and Logistics (BAS)

Broward College is accepting applications for the $10K degrees from current students who are now enrolled and have completed 75 percent of their associate’s degree..

New first-time-in-college students may apply starting in January 2014. These individuals must meet the following requirements:

  • A 3.0 GPA
  • First-Time-In-College
  • Committed to Continuous Enrollment (Excluding Summers)
  • Maintain a Florida Residence.
