Why should you never iron a 4-leaf clover?
You don’t want to press your luck -Daryl Stout
St. Patrick’s Day is a happy-go-lucky holiday filled with parades, happy spirits, Irish Pride, and green everything. While New York, Chicago, and Savannah are well-known for their St. Patrick’s Day events, South Florida is becoming a contender for the green crown. If you plan to celebrate here are some tips to ensure a fun, safe time:
Transportation. If you are attending a green-themed party, make sure everyone in your group has a safe way of returning home. AAA is offering Tow to Go, a service they routinely offer during these fun holidays. This free program will be available anytime Thursday, March 17, until 6 a.m. Friday, March 18. People looking to use the Tow to Go service can call (855)286-9246.
Green Gear. You can’t attend the perfect Paddy’s party without your green pieces of flair! Remember: those who don’t wear green are subject to pinching. If you’re looking for last-minute ideas, Party City has locations throughout Broward County.
Sláinte. Whether you know it or not, Broward County has quite a few delicious Irish restaurants and bars where you can grab some Shepherd’s pie or a delicious corned beef sandwich. TripAdvisor.com recently rated the top five restaurants in Fort Lauderdale, and many of them are within walking distance of our Downtown Center.
Have fun, be safe, and may the Luck ‘o’ the Irish be with you!
