GradSHOEation celebrates unique footwear

December 17, 2013 | News

Broward College will once again be celebrating GradSHOEation during its commencement ceremony. During this lightheartedpre-ceremony event students will get to display their personalities by showing off their unique fashion-forward footwear.

More than 2,900 eligible graduates can stand out from the sea of blue caps and gowns with their choice of stilettos, fancy flats, sneakers, boots and more.

During the event, graduates are encouraged to donate used shoes to Shoes for the Cure, a local organization that recycles shoes and reconditions them for the needy, or turns them into raw material used for running tracks, playgrounds and tennis courts.

Join the fun on Dec. 19 and find out what the fuss is about. Graduates and guests are invited to follow the excitement by liking Broward College on Facebook and following #GradSHOEation on Twitter.

What type of footwear would you suggest for our graduates? We would love to hear your ideas.
