Celebrate the First Apollo Landing at our Moon Fest on July 19

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the first Apollo Moon landing, Broward College’s Buehler Planetarium & Observatory, 3501 Davie Road, Davie, Building 16, will celebrate Moon Fest on Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event, which is family-friendly, free and open to the public, will include a hands-on “lunar lab,” in which participants can launch handmade rockets, construct a star clock, and even explore and scale the moon. As part of the program, two planetarium showings of “Earth, Moon and Sun” are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
