Broward College Professor Tops List

Melinda Shoemaker, Ph.D., Broward College professor of psychology, ranked first on’s 2013-14 “Top 25 Professors at Junior and Community Colleges” list. This marks the third consecutive year Shoemaker was ranked as a highest-rated professor by, the largest online destination for professor ratings based on ratings from students.

“I am so pleased to be recognized by my students,” said Shoemaker. “In my classes, we examine the evolution of human behavior from various perspectives. I do my best to make class interesting and enjoyable so students excel.”
