Broward College Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a Variety of Events

In conjunction with national observances and events going on during National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 to Oct. 15), Broward College is hosting a series of events its campuses and centers.

Originally started in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week, the yearly tradition was expanded in 1988 and officially runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. The month celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
